The Economic History Society Organisation for British economic historians.

EH.Net, a chartered organization, was created in 1993 to assist economists, historians and related social scientists through the use of electronic communication and information technology. It also has a European mirror site.

International Institute of Social History(IISG) Founded in 1935 and based in Amsterdam, this is one of the world's largest documentary and research institutions in the field of social history in general and the history of the labour movement in particular. The site is in Dutch, Spanish, German, French, Turkish and Russian, as well as English.

Socialist History Society. Successor to the Communist Party History Group, established in 1946. Publishers of the journal Socialist History.

History Workshop Journal Launched in 1976, this journla was on the cutting edge of history from below.

Working Class Movement Library.A unique national collection of archive material on the history of the British and Irish labour movement.

Marxists Internet Archive. A large digital library about Marxism and all things related to it. "Our purpose is to educate people around the world about Marxism".

The Tamiment Institute Library and Robert F. Wagner Labor Archives. Centre for scholarly research on labor history, and the history of socialist, anarchist, communist and other radical political movements at New York University. Focussed on the USA since 1865, but contains material produced in Canada, Britain and other countries.

A2A - Access to Archives. The A2A database contains catalogues of archives held across England, dating from the 900s to the present day.

COPAC provides FREE access to the merged online catalogues of 22 of the largest university research libraries in the UK and Ireland PLUS the British Library.

H-labor A mailing list, particularly interested in fostering international discussion of labour history topics. It also recognizes that teaching the history of workers entails maintaining some knowledge of working people and their unions today. Part of H-Net.

North East Labour History Society. Founded in 1967, the North East Labour History Society is Britainīs oldest regional labour history society. It is dedicated to the study of working people's history in the region, particularly during the modern period.

North West Labour History Group. Britain's most active labour history society which holds regular events and publishes an annual journal. Issue No 27 (2002) is on The North in the 70s.

Sources of Radicalism. Manchester-based group which organises regular seminars and conferences on labour movement history and contemporary issues.

The Union Makes Us Strong: TUC History Online, a partnership initiative between London Metropolitan University and the Trades Union Congress

U.S. Labor and Industrial History World Wide Web Audio Archive, Department of History, University at Albany, State University of New York. Archive of RealPlayer recordings from US labour and related history, going back to William Bryan's 1896 "Cross of Gold" speech. Worth listening to!
