The LSHG Newsletter
The London Socialist Historians Group publishes its newsletter three times a year, at the beginning of each academic term.
The Summer 2008 issue contains polemic by David Renton on the commercialisation of cricket, and by Harry Ratner on the Britain's entry into the 1914-18 war and the role of individuals; an article by Megan Davies and Keith Flett on CND; research reports by Gerd-Rainer Horn on the events of 1968 and by Julienne Ford on the history of now; reviews by John Burton of Pete Frame, The Restless Generation and by Keith Flett of Di Parkin, 60 Years of Struggle: the History of Betteshanger Colliery; and an obituary of Ruth Frow
Subscribing to the Newsletter
You can receive the newsletter by post, by email (two methods) or via a newsfeed.
To regularly receive a free copy of the Newsletter by post, as it is published, send your name and address to the London Socialist Historians Group at
(Note: Because of cost considerations, we cannot send the Newsletter by post to addresses outside the UK, except to members.)
There are two methods of receiving the Newsletter by email:
- To receive text versions of the articles when the latest issue is published, submit your email address via the subscriptions form. In addition to the articles, you will receive a link for fast download of the full Newsletter as a PDF file.
- Alternatively, to directly receive the latest edition as a PDF file, send an email to the London Socialist Historians Group at . Note that we always send copies to the email address from which the request comes. We will always query requests to send the newsletter to a third party. And be warned, if you elect to subscribe to the PDF version, that the file you receive may be large.
You can also recieve a notification via a newsfeed each time the newsletter is published.
