Government strives to transform Pakistan into Islamic welfare state: Farrukh

ISLAMABAD, October 14 (APP): Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib said on Thursday that the current government is working to transform Pakistan into an Islamic welfare state modeled on the state by Madina Munawwarah.

Addressing the participants of the All Pakistan Naat competition, he said that when Prime Minister Imran Khan came to power, he gave the vision of a transformation of Pakistani society on the model of the state of Medina.

The prime minister, he said, renewed his determination to make the principles of the state of Medina his beacon and focus.

Farrukh Habib said that the spirit of national leadership seen today is unprecedented in history.

The minister said the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was a comprehensive code of conduct for the Muslim Ummah who seeks to guide them.

He said that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was a mercy to the whole world and that there was no compulsion in Islam.

Farrukh Habib said that the followers of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) were present all over the world and their feelings were hurt by the blasphemous remarks of non-believers.

The prime minister has raised the issue in every forum, including the United Nations and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and stressed that there is a need for legislation in this regard.

He said that every citizen has the responsibility to learn from the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (pbuh).

He said that every Muslim loved the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and had devotion to Him.

He said he was happy that PTV and Pakistan Broadcasting Corporation are playing an important role in developing the talent of “Naat Khawani” among the new generation.
