It all started a little after 4:30 p.m. On Tuesday when Connellsville Police were asked to carry out a wellness check on a woman at a home in the 2100 block of 2nd Street in South Connellsville. State police said a man let Connellsville officers into the home and they found the woman, identified as Angela Faidley, 45, dead in the basement. According to state police, officers then attempted to arrest the man and a fight ensued, with the man firing a shot at police. Police opened fire, shooting and killing the man, who was identified as Luke Stash. , 33. The incident is being investigated by state police, as well as the district attorney and coroner.

It all started a little after 4.30pm on Tuesday when Connellsville Police were asked to carry out a wellness check on a woman at a house in the 2100 block of 2nd Street in South Connellsville.

State police said a man let Connellsville officers into the home and they found the woman, identified as 45-year-old Angela Faidley, dead in the basement.

According to state police, officers then tried to arrest the man and a fight ensued, with the man shooting at the police.

Police opened fire, shooting and killing the man, identified as 33-year-old Luke Stash.

The incident is being investigated by state police, as well as the district attorney and coroner.
